- Account information — name, email, phone number, role, and organisational affiliation.
- Profile & resume data — resumes you upload (parsed for AI features), skills, and preferences.
- Usage & assessment data — assessment attempts, code submissions, scores, learning progress, and session activity.
- Proctoring data — during proctored assessments, this may include camera snapshots, screen/tab activity, and recordings, collected solely for integrity.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and cookies used to operate and secure the Platform.
- Payment data — wallet transactions and order references. Card and banking details are handled directly by our payment gateway and are not stored by Skelo.
2.How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features.
- To generate assessments, AI mock interviews, evaluations, feedback, and reports.
- To preserve academic integrity during proctored assessments.
- To process wallet top-ups and metered features such as email notifications.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
- To improve the Platform, diagnose issues, and ensure security.
3.Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to deliver the service. Data is shared with them only to the extent necessary to perform their function:
- Cloud storage (AWS S3) for uploaded files and recordings.
- AI providers to power question generation, evaluation, transcription, and text-to-speech.
- Payment gateway (Razorpay) to process wallet top-ups.
- Email delivery (AWS SES) for notifications you opt into.
These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
4.Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Certain data, such as interview and proctoring recordings, is retained only for a limited period and then automatically deleted. You may request deletion of your data subject to legal and contractual limits.
5.Data Security
We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted authentication, role-based access control, and secured storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6.Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including authentication cookies, to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and secure the Platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.
7.Children & Student Data
Where the Platform is used by educational institutions, student data is processed on behalf of, and under the instructions of, the institution. Institutions are responsible for obtaining any consents required under applicable law for their students.

- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
